“My girlfriend and I stayed at a cottage at Loon Lake for a "getting away from the husbands" trip. I had bought a Groupon coupon for 1 night free with paid night and free hour paddle boat usage. We had so much fun, from the friendliest lady that ran your snack shack/boat rentals, the office staff, to the lady running the restaurant who was saying to a friend margaritas were at 8, and when we asked where, she gladly told us. (didn't end up taking her up on the offer, but I am sure we would have been welcomed) The scenery is gorgeous, the staff is friendly and seeing wildlife so close-up is a thrill. We saw deer walking down through camp and bunnies hopping around early in the morning. The only complaint we had was having to leave. Can't wait to come back!! Thanks.” - Yolanda Bour

“We stay at Loon Lake Resort 2-3 times each summer with two other families. My husband grew up coming to Loon Lake, and we are starting the same tradition for our family. These pictures were taking July 20, 2011. All six children look forward to camping at Loon lake all year, and each morning they have us up at the crack of dawn looking for the Looney Plaque, which Mike usually points us in the right direction. Loon Lake Resort has become part of our summer plans, and we plan on continuing this tradition for many years to come. We hope you enjoy the pictures, it is not easy to get 6 small children standing still at one time. “When my parents moved to Oregon from California, we discovered that Loon Lake would quickly become our favorite camping spot ever! They brought our family to Loon Lake, every summer since I was 5 years old. 35 years later and I keep coming back!! I have enjoyed it so much that when I started dating my husband in 1993, I took him here and we've been camping here ever since. We have 5 kids and they all love the lake and especially tubing! They also love the campfires we have every night, the wonderful beach and swim area and meeting new friends.
